The project is focused on the basic research of the molecular and redox intercalations. The aim is to find a structural principle governing the deposition of the molecules with aliphatic chains and selected functional groups between layers of vanadyl phosphate and isostructural layered compounds. A study of the redox intercalation processes, in which alkali metal ions and ammonium ion are intercalated, is also proposed. Special attention will be given to them structure of the layered complexes formed and to the kinetics and mechanism of the formation of these complexes. The conception of the project results from the research direction of the teams which have co-operated in solving of these problems for several years.
