Intercultural event 鈥濿ork with Czech鈥 (20.11.2019)
The International Office, in cooperation with the Language Centre, is offering a 2nd edition of the intercultural event for its international employees and PhD students. The main topic will be Czech culture, and how to navigate it as a non-Czech person. We would like to look at attitudes, values, activities etc. that would be considered 鈥瀟ypically Czech鈥, as well as what is considered to be polite behaviour in the Czech Republic and what is expected of people in certain situations. A new law to facilitate and enhance mobility in the EU and residence in the Czech Republic!
The International Office, in cooperation with the Centre for Support of Integration of Foreigners 鈥 Pardubice Region will be organising a presentation about this new law (free of charge), which came into force in the Czech Republic on 31 July 2019.
The purpose of this new law is to facilitate and enhance mobility in the EU and residence in the Czech Republic of students, researchers, employees (for both EU and non-EU citizens).

Czech classes sign up!
New Czech classes for international PhD students and employees will be opened in September 2019.

First Aid course for Internationals (17.05.2019)
It can be very stressful to know exactly what to do when you encounter a medical emergency, even when you are in your home country, speaking your mother tongue and have some first aid knowledge.
Now, imagine the same situation abroad, in a country with different habits, culture and language!
Aware of this challenge and dedicated to helping international students and employees feel more integrated and secure in Pardubice and the Czech Republic, the Dept. of International Affairs and Development and the Faculty of Health Studies have decided to organize First Aid courses.
